During my stay in Uganda, I'll be living it up at the Rakai Health Sciences Guest House in Kalisizo Town. It's a lovely little place - I think I could get used to living here for the summer. Here are some photos of the house:
And here's the beautiful view I see when I stand on the porch:
And here is the loudest, most squeaky gate in the entire world:
There are a fair number of cows, goats and chickens wandering the roads of Kalisizo. The cows are often tied to a tree or a stake and left to chow down on grass in the immediate area. There's more than one way to mow the lawn!
And then, just to give you a sense of some of the nearby towns, here's a photo I snapped
while traveling to Kalisizo.
So much to explore and learn this summer! Life is pretty alright, if I do say so myself.
